As the months have gone by people have told us how much they felt at home at the Centre, some saying that this was their "family".
One man, Billy, was living with three friends in a nearby squat. He reduced his alcohol intake quite noticeably after visit ing the Jesus Centre. He also began to pay attention to hygiene and to stop swearing and has often been to church along with his friends.
Another man, Lee, once from the same squat, regainec a lot of confidence whilst visiting the Centre. He managed to control his drinking and is once again in his own accommodation and has found work.
Jane, one of our volunteers, has come off benefits as a single mum and gone back to work having built up her confidence working with us and also taking advantage of the CLAIT course we ran.
