Mayor Colin Lill gave a talk on his life as Northampton's top civic dignitary and then showed off one of his pet hedgehogs at a multi-cultural evening at the Jesus Centre.

The mayor and the mayoress, his wife Judith, both look after the hedgehogs in their spare time and brought one along to last Friday's event.

The multi-cultural evening also featured Asian dancers, gospel choir Just Worship Singers, Asian food and a Somali poet.
