The Welcome Project

We work with up to 200 homeless and vulnerably housed people a week. Through the weekday drop-in sessions we offer a safe and welcoming space with free access to: food, clothing, laundry, showers, post, a telephone room, IT access, luggage storage, games, books, listening and emotional support and information on accommodation, benefits and employment. Afternoon appointments for one-to-one help, information and referrals.

Open 10.15 - 12.30 Monday to Friday.

Works: education and group work

‘Works' is the umbrella title for our programme of educational, recreational and support groups as well as resources like the IT suite, Arts and Crafts Room and room hire for voluntary organizations.

The programme includes: ESOL, Conversation Practice, English for Work, Arts and Crafts, Active Listening and individual prayer by appointment.
 

Worship: spiritual life

Jesus Fellowship Church will be holding a range of events including; Healing group, New Friends, Nurture, Friday Night at Word, Small Groups, Sunday meetings at 11.15 and 6.30.

These groups are open to people of every faith and none.
 

Word: Tea Room

The Tea Room will provide a meeting place for local people, workers, students and anyone using the Centre. There will be good value food and drink, friendly service and special events some evenings.
