ESOL student finds ‘powerful faith’

I came to this church for English classes, and I was happy they could pay for my daily bus travel, because without this money I could never have thought about studying English.

Then I realised that this charity is part of the Jesus Army. I was very hopeless, and surrounded with problems. Then they invited me to a New Year’s party in Birmingham.

I found Jesus, the shining power of God, that made my life bright, filled my heart and made me happy. I shouted with joy and love that Jesus is my Lord.

I love taking part in cell group and going to church to know more and more about Jesus and this love that I have. Now I have a powerful faith and lots of hope and a warm heart and I can fight because I know that Jesus is with me.”
